Would you like to help save orphan Orangutans?

· Did you know that many baby Orangutans are orphaned when their mothers are killed by poachers?

· These babies are often sold as pets unless they are rescued by the Australian Orangutan Foundation.

· The foundations Care Facility in Indonesian Borneo provides Intensive care for sick babies which need 7- 8 years of care before they grow up!

· We would like to continue to support this important project by raising funds to sponsor several baby Orangutans.

· Please buy some of the environmentally-friendly products using the order form on the green flyer in this week’s bulletin.

** ORDERS must be in by FRIDAY 24th AUGUST!!

Thank you for your help with this project

Here is a new FROGGIES initiative!

Would you like to help save Gorillas?

Did you know that mobile phones contain a metal called coltan that is mined in mountainous areas of eastern Africa, which is also home to the critically endangered gorilla?

· We would like to collect your old mobile phones for recycling, thereby reducing landfill and reducing the destruction of the habitat of the gorilla!

· Please clear out your drawers at home and place old mobiles in the box outside the staffroom door.

Thank you for your help with this project.

From the FROGGIES team.

Hi all!

Please help us to save energy by turning off heaters, lights and fans at the end of each lesson! Otherwise, the room may be empty for hours with energy being wasted.

See the reminder signs in each classrooom.

You may have noticed the ice cream containers under the drink taps around the school.

To save the many litres of water which are normally wasted each day, we ask you please, when the containers are nearly full, to empty the water onto the plants in courtyard – they really appreciate it!. Don’t forget to put the container back under the tap!!
